Our Vision
The heartbeat of Tours Through The Book is taking people to Israel to deepen their faith and love of the Scriptures, and their connection to the land and People of The Book.
We inspire people to discover the Israel that endears the heart of God. It’s all in the small details and creating an itinerary that gives an authentic experience that enhances the essence of Israel – its spirituality, biblical roots, earthiness, tenacity and “can do” spirit. We will share with you the multi-colors of this vibrant Land.
We also travel to other inspiring places in the world.
Our Story
Tours Through The Book was founded by Polly Grimes, gospel music pioneer and concert producer.
After her first trip to Israel in 1968, she knew her destiny had changed forever. She returned home with a passion for Bible study and to grow deeper in her faith.
Polly took many gospel musicians and fans to Israel before forming Tours Through The Book in 2000. She wanted to encourage others to come see “the desert having bloomed as a rose, and to walk in the footsteps of the Bible.” Her trip also sparked her love and further dedication for philanthropic work for Israel and bringing Christians and Jewish people together in love and understanding. She formed Exodus Ltd., a non-profit organization reaching out to be a blessing to Israel.
Polly was a producer on the Bill Gaither Jerusalem Homecoming and featured in the Gaither Israel Homecoming.
Her daughter Lisa Rene worked side-by-side with her for many years and continues the work.
Tour Through The Book has had the privilege of bringing Bill Gaither, The Gaither Vocal Band, Phillips, Craig & Dean, Sister Sledge, Governor Mike Huckabee, Senator Rand Paul, Marty Goetz, The Hoppers, The Isaacs, Sandi Patti, Bobby Jones as well as many pastors and organization leaders on tours to Israel.
